Discrimination still try’s to show its UGLY face…

Below you will find Burger King trying to make Mexican's look bad. Enough is enough. If Mexican's over take the US like allot of white people are afraid of then all I can say is.......Viva la Mexico!!

There are way too many people who are discriminating against the Mexican culture and I AM about to put a stop to it. For those of you who are against Mexicans being in the US (Illegal or legal)it doesnt matter, you are called a Bigot and a Racist. Just in case you didnt know you had a name, that is what you are called.................

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – Fast food giant Burger King apologized Tuesday for an advertisement featuring a squat Mexican draped in his country's flag next to a tall American cowboy and said it would change the campaign.

Mexico's ambassador to Spain said posters released in Europe for Burger King's new Tex-Mex style "Texican whopper," a cheeseburger with chile and spicy mayonnaise, inappropriately displayed the Mexican flag, whose image is protected under national law.

The ambassador wrote a letter complaining to Burger King and requested the ad campaign be discontinued.

Burger King said the ads were meant to show a mixture of influences from the southwestern United States and Mexico, not to poke fun at Mexican culture, but said it would replace them "as soon as commercially possible."

"Burger King Corporation has made the decision to revise the Texican Whopper advertising creative out of respect for the Mexican culture and its people," it said in a statement.

"The existing campaign falls fully within the legal parameters of the United Kingdom and Spain where the commercials are being aired and were not intended to offend anyone," the company added.

A TV version of the ad shows the strapping cowboy and the pint-sized Mexican wrestler -- nicknamed "Just a Little Bit" -- living together as roommates. At one point, the American lifts up the Mexican to help him put a trophy on a high shelf.

Mexico was involved in another controversial ad campaign last year when Absolut vodka posted billboard ads in Mexico with an early 19th century map showing chunks of the United States as part of Mexico.

The campaign angered many U.S. citizens and was later dropped.

Yep, it was a stupid ad campaign. I don't have a problem with immigration as long as people aren't swimming the Rio Grande... Meaning, if you are willing to go through the proper chanels to become an AMERICAN, then more power to ya'.

Once Burger King realized their error and that they had "offended" someone did they not pull thier campaign?
As far as Mexicans being hired, there are very few people who have problems with that as long as they have a GREEN CARD. It is their permission and proof that they entered the U.S. under legal means.
It does not go only to Mexicans, it is a feeling that is extended to every culture in the U.S.
Do not forget, you are American First and Mexican second.
Viva Mexico is fine any place SOUTH of the border.
Do not even try to argue with me that all of Texas and California belonged to Mexico at one time. Look at what the Mexican people have managed to do with the land they do control. A veritable slum. It is not the fault of the U.S. that it is either.

I know that some people who think that immigrants should come through legally are not all being racist or a bigot, so please don’t think that I am talking about you.

Going back in history for the last 400 years + the only people here were the Indians and Mexican's. Our Ancestors came to this country illegally and legally. Just because man has a law saying that being here illegal is wrong doesn’t mean that it is, especially for those people coming here to get a better life or work to be able to send their family money so that they can LIVE, yes live.

And I know that I would break any of man’s law for the life of someone I cared about. And I in no way am I saying that I want the drug lords or the illegal activity coming through here, I am only speaking for the majority that come for a better life.

Again I don’t agree w/ illegal activity, but if I want to go somewhere bad enough and I had someone telling me NO, then I would do whatever it takes- especially if it was to help a loved one. Breaking the law is not a bad thing sometimes, it’s only the Law of God that I won’t compromise. I don’t have a problem w/those of you who think that coming here legally is the only way you should come, but I have to understand the poor people who know that their country is in turmoil and want peace. They are killing each other in some parts of the country and if that was happening to you wouldn’t you do the same???

Aunty, you are my elder I don’t like disagreeing with you (I love you too much) but, I don’t agree that a Mexican man or woman who want to come to the US and have tried and been denied have no rights here. I would do what I had to do to get here if I knew that the life was better and I know you would too if you had to. And I know better, than to argue w/ you about history or politics, but I am firm on this one.

Just imagine being one of these poor souls who have been slammed by their own country and ours and still have hope that they deserve a better life. Most of these “illegal immigrants” want to come here legally but our system is so slow and so tainted that it is almost impossible (Mexican government also try to stop their own from coming here permantly). The only chance they have is to run to freedom. Any true American would do the same if they were on the other side.

And as for them learning English to stay here or get here, why? Why can’t we have a country that is full of different languages? We don’t need to learn Spanish to live in Mexico or Spain. It’s not required to know the language of where you live in any other country either.

And yes, I am first American but, I would feel this way for any poor soul trying to get a better life and doing all possible to achieve.

Because English, even though I did not mention that, is the official trade language of the world, not just the United States.
When there is a huge flux of language, you will then have the problem of the tower of Babel where not a single person understood the other. In order to have order, we must have rules and regulations that have to be obeyed.
Originally, there were no Mexicans. There were only Indians. The Mexican race was created when the Spaniards, who took over Mexico intermarried with the Indians of the area, thus, totally eradicating the Indian population of the area.
Once our borders are weakened, they will be more open to being crossed by those who wish to eradicate us as Americans. You know more than most people who would read this that I am one of the biggest champions of others and their God given rights as human beings. I will not tolerate any type of discrimination, but insisting that people use the correct channels, no matter how slow they are, is paramont to our safety.
You know I love you in the same manner that I do my own children and would go to death for you as I would any of mine. Even using my gun if I had to.

lol That’s right i forgot your pro-guns. I do know that the Mexican race is Indian/Spaniard (which i think is an excellent mixture) (smile). But again these poor people are watching their loved ones being hacked to pieces. The law doesn’t care about them, someone should and we can’t be mad at their fight for a better life. I understand the order part and agree that order is necessary for safety. But Again, if it were us we would swim through sewers for freedom if our life’s depended on it?! And the Tower of Babel….. God is the one who changed the languages……

I think you and your Auntie have some of the best passive aggressive arguments. :) However, I am leaning more toword what Auntie is saying, when it comes to the safty issue. I have been to other countries, and they protect their own in some of the same ways, and in some ways more aggressively. I told you what happened when we tried to cross over into Austria, and how I almost got arested for being a spy because I had the wrong type of lighter in my purse when leaving Germany. We all have to go through the process, it's not always easy, but necessary. Much love to you baby sister, and I hope to meet Auntie someday.
Angel, (A.K.A. TAZ)
